Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter and youngest child of Richard McCormick. Her birth date was August 5th 1956 on the outskirts of Woodland Hills California. Her fairytale rise to fame began when she was crowned the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest in the age group of six, which prompted a call from the talent agent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency who asked whether she wanted to work in show business. McCormick landed her first major task in 1964 as she acted in a commercial on television for Mattels latest doll, Baby Pattaburp. The year that followed, she appeared in another television commercial for Chatty Cathy's doll. Soon afterward, McCormick was chosen by La Jolla Playhouse to play the role of the character It up and It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick, who was selected from over 200 auditioned kids, played the oldest of three double-headed daughters, in The Brady Bunch (1969) with Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The show lasted for five seasons. McCormick, in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published in 2008, McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season of the show she almost lost virginity with her twin brother Barry Williams. The actress was just 16 years old and the actor was 19, at the time. This would have occurred, she says. The timing for our marriage wasn't right.
